The 3DEXPERIENCE platform provides a collaborative space for tools applicable to all different aspects of a business. From 3D design and analysis to marketing and sales, it has never been easier to work as a completely integrated team. The platform offers social and collaborative apps, information intelligence apps, content and simulation apps, and 3D modeling apps. The 3DEXPERIENCE compass provides a quick, easy, and efficient way to navigate through this broad range of tools.

When inside the platform, you can find the compass in the upper left corner of your screen. Once the compass has been selected you will see the options for Me, World, and depending on your permissions, Company as well.

Under the Me selection you will have two tabs, As a System of Operations and As a Business Model.

The As a System of Operations tab provides you access to all of your Roles and Apps that you have access to. By selecting a role, you can see all applications that apply.

Selecting an app opens it in your browser if it is a cloud-based app, or from your hard-drive if a machine-based app.

The As a Business Model provides you with access to services to ensure your project is completed properly.

Engineering

Engineering As a Service provides you with a network of approved engineers who can handle anything from industrial design to system analysis, 3D modeling, and much more.

Make

Manufacturing As a Service provides you with a network of manufacturers that provide services including 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, and much more to ensure your parts are made just as needed.

Part Supply

Components As a Service provides a catalog of components such as couplings, hinges, pneumatics, and much more. This catalog provides sourcing information and 2D and 3D CAD if available. The compass allows for seamless integration in a simple way, allowing for easier-than-ever onboarding.
