3DEXPERIENCE. You may have already heard of it, and if you have not you surely will begin to see it pop up more and more. That being said, what is it? Even if you have heard of it, you may not have a solid understanding of its capabilities. In this post, we will be breaking down the fundamentals of the platform to ensure you are up to speed with the offerings of this revolutionary solution.

3DEXPERIENCE is often described as a business experience platform. Simply put, it allows you to complete many of the processes within a business (engineering, marketing, sales, etc.), all while focusing on the user experience housed on a single cloud-based platform.

This allows your entire team to complete their work from anywhere if they have an internet connection, which in today’s world, it is not often that you will not. Up until now, when you needed certain tools available to an application you were required to purchase the license for access to the entire application. 3DEXPERIENCE switches it up with the introduction of Roles. These are packages of specific tools from various applications that work together for a specific type of job. One example of a role would be the Creative Designer. This provides all the tools needed for a designer to create conceptual designs and the necessary visualization tools to present them.
